Mission: "Lab Discovery & People Recovery"
The Program in Schizophrenia and Related Conditions is a multi-departmental interdisciplinary group of basic scientists, clinical researchers, and clinic providers. The group is dedicated to the molecular understanding and clinical application of novel therapies for schizophrenia and related conditions of psychosis and cognitive dysfunction. This includes bipolar disorder, schizoaffective disorder, as well as the various schizophrenia subtypes. Our work ties together research, training of future scientists and clinicians, and community service by individual Program faculty activities. |
|
The mission of the Program is to integrate the research, teaching, and clinical expertise of the primary faculty as a central information exchange of ideas for translation of basic research into treatment and recovery relating to schizophrenia and related conditions of psychosis and cognitive dysfunction. These conditions arise from interactions among several specific genes, brain cells, and environment. |
